Learn More About Kids Bridge

Kids Bridge is a supervised visitation center offering three types of service

KB On-site supervised visits
KB On-site unsupervised visits
KB  Parent exchange services

Our goal is to provide an atmosphere of safety, stability and permanency for at-risk children.  In this supportive setting, children in crisis can begin to heal their hearts, nurture their strengths and reach their full potential as healthy members of our community.

Our mission is to provide a community-based setting where children and families can meet, spend time, share common experiences and work together to strengthen their sense of self and family unity.  Advocating on behalf of all children, we work to engage community resources in support of children at risk of abuse, neglect and abandonment.

COMMUNITY FAMILY GROWTH

Several years ago, the Junior Service League of St. Augustine, Inc. was approached by a local judge and asked if the group would be willing to undertake the project of starting a visitation center in St. Johns County so that visits between family members and their children would not have to occur in offices, fast-food restaurants, or other counties.

The Junior Service League researched policies and procedures of visitation centers, toured and conferred with established visitation centers in other areas, and looked at potential sites for many years.

After much work and planning, an older home on San Marco Avenue was purchased and renovated by the Junior Service League.  Kids Bridge is the only supervised family visitation center in St. Johns County.

As with all of its projects, the Junior Service League of St. Augustine is working to help Kids Bridge become financially self-sufficient.
